

Clarence M. Frenkel, Jr. -- A native of Pensacola, FL and a long time resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at his home. He attended Pensacola High School and the University of Florida. Mr. Frenkel's career was in banking and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was employed by American National Bank as a Vice-President, was the founding Director and President of Farmers and Marine Bank, President of First Alabama Bank, and retiring as a Vice-President at Regions Bank. Mr. Frenkel was a member of the Spring Hill Avenue Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Ruth Frenkel; his parents, Clarence M. Frenkel and Frannie W. Frenkel; and his brother, Maurice Frenkel. Survivors include his children, Clarence M. Frenkel, III, Lawrence D. (Janet) Frenkel, Paul A. (Ceresa) Frenkel, and Annette R. (John) Loper; grandchildren, Jessica Frenkel, Alexandria Frenkel, Brandon (Leanne) Frenkel, Andrew Frenkel, Benjamin Frenkel, Michael (Kristin) Preston, Patrick (Meghan) Preston, and Hunter Loper; his sisters, Terrance McClure and Clarie Ades; other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. in the Spring Hill Avenue Temple Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:40 p.m. procession to the cemetery at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
