Clarice Imogene (Robison) McMillan

Imogene Robison McMillan passed on September 15, 2026, at the age of 99. She was born on July 22, 1927 in Thomasville, Alabama to Dulan Carl Robison and Mattie Jackson Robison. Imogene resided in Mobile for over 80 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mendel McMillan they had been married for 65 years at the time of his passing. As well as her siblings Freeman Robison, Lucille Williamson, Elise Eaves, and Doris McGowin. Before retiring Imogene was a secretary in the Maintenance Division of Mobile County Public Schools.

Imogene had three children: Martha (Mike) Cash of Mobile, Valerie (Clem) Boatright of Blairsville, Georgia, and Donna Ferrill of Fairhope, Alabama; five grandchildren: Eric (Tiffany) Cash of Saraland, Alabama, the late Christopher (Missy) Cash, Emily (Gus) Rios of Smyrna, Georgia, Lydia (John) Jones of Bromley, Alabama, and Ellen (Joe) Rider of Crawfordville, Florida; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was loved by many.

Our Mother’s greatest desire was for all her family to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and have a relationship with him. She loved her family deeply and she wants every one of us with her in Heaven for eternity.

While we were young, she had bedtime Bible devotions and prayer with us. She faithfully took us to church and was a godly example and inspiration for her family.

Prior to dementia, she wrote prayer journals and her prayers were for each of us.

God truly blessed us with an exceptionally loving devoted mother.

In Psalms 116:15 we read that “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants.” We know she was welcomed by Christ with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Because she certainly was.
