Connie Sullivan

Mrs. Connie Sullivan, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Monday, September 17, 2012. Connie graduated from Murphy High School and from the music department at the University of South Alabama with honors. She was a longtime and dedicated member of Christ United Methodist Church where she served as the organist for over 20 years. She was a piano and organ teacher for over 40 years. She dearly loved her piano students and she instilled the love of music in them. Many of her students were winners in Sonata contest and in state auditions. She was a member of the MMTA the AMTA the MTNA and NGPT & was also a member of the Piano Ensemble. She worked as an interior designer at BLP Paints for several years prior to teaching piano full time. Connie deeply loved the Lord and shared her faith wherever she went. She was preceded in death by her husband; T. Gaines Sullivan and parents, Marvin & Irene Eubanks. She is survived by her sons, Jeffery Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan and Gaines Sullivan; sister, Nancy Terry and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 3:30 PM from Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday 1:30 PM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to the music or media ministries of Christ United Methodist Church.
