Corinne Aikin Demetropolis

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Phillip L. Demetropolis.

Corinne is survived by her daughters, Portia D. Brion and Phyllis Demetropoulos Novak; grandchildren, John Hamilton Hastie, Amanda Hastie, Alexandra Everts, and Phillip Blackburn; and one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Alexis Hastie.

Corinne was an accomplished author, having many poems, prose and essays published. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Corinne was Registrar of Vital Statistics for Mobile County for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
