Cynthia Lee Janik, 69, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on August 28, 2026. She was born on September 5,1955 in Mobile, Alabama.

Cynthia retired after working 30 years in human resources for the Department of the Air Force’s NAF.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Josephine Janik, and her son Edward Allan Screws.

She is survived by her son, Louis (Tracy) Screws; grandsons, Nicholas Screws, Danny Screws, William Screws, Anthony Screws, and Louie Screws; siblings Laura Morris, Al (Cindy) Janik, Mark Janik, and Scott Janik; and numerous family members and close friends.

She brought color to the world.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill Cemetery, 351 Dilston Street, Mobile, AL 36608.
