Mr. Daniel Hollis Lyons, age 76, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, July 24, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Kay Lyons, children, Wesley Cooper Bryan, Linda Kay Hendry and parents, Augustus and Lenora Lyons. Mr. Lyons retired after over 30 years with the Mobile Fire Department and Mobile Police Department. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force Reserves. Mr. Lyons is survived by his children, Karen Mallini, Daniel Bryan, Todd Bryan (Tiane), and Suzy Hoy, He is also survived by his siblings; Augustus Lyons, Jr. (Cindy), Patty Wiese (Leroy), Helen Jean Johnson (Donald), Katie Hodge, Veronica Summerlin (Ronald), Tammy Lee, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time of 11:00 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
