Daniel Henry Murphy

Daniel H. Murphy, age 93. A native of Aurora, Illinois and a resident of Theodore, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Martha Mary Murphy. he is survived by one daughter, Michele Gray (Jim) of Theodore, AL; two sons, Thomas Murphy (Donna) of Lynwood, WA, Edwin Murphy of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; brother, Edward C. Murphy (Martha) of Lewistown, IL and brother in law, Cliff Schabben of Aurora, IL. Mr. Murphy’s lifelong hobby was target shooting. He was a member of the Idaho National Rifle Shooting Team and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a design engineer during WWII and designed many pieces of military equipment and devices that greatly helped our troops win the war. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.Arrangements under the direction of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
