Mr. Daniel J. “D.J.” Norris, Jr. – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Norris retired from the U. S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Elks Lodge, and the U. S. Navy Fleet Reserve. He was an active bowler until he was 90 years old. Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Joseph Norris, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Lee Norris; one sister, Edna Eiland; and one brother, Albert Norris. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Morgan Norris; two children, Daniel J. Norris, III, and Beverly J. (Lt. Col. William J.) Coradini; two granddaughters, Heather (Phillip) Bruce and Lindsey (Ricky) Williams; two great-granddaughters, Logan and Taylor Bruce; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday in Pine Crest Cemetery.
