Had good fortune to meet David and Becky when they lived across from us in old Army barracks in Bakersfield Tuscaloosa, site of present Law School. They ran a diaper service which included a free telephone, the only one in the 4 apartments in our side of the building. On occasions David and I would go to tennis court after finishing our studies. The youngest friend my daughter Kim can remember is Fannie. Our families maintained a friendship after we both graduated in 1956, coming to Mobile. I don't know of a better or "down to earth couple" than Becky and David who will be sorely missed but live on in their family and friend's memories.

I am honored that I got to know David. I loved how friendly he was and how much he enjoyed life. I remember one time he and Becky coming to watch my middle son play football when we traveled to Mobile. He had a kind heart and a sweet smile. He will be missed by so many people.
