

Deborah Dana Hilliard – Born November 16, 1956, in Great Falls, MT, a former long time resident of Semmes, and a current resident of Mobile, departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2011. A devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, “Nana”, sister, and dear friend, Deborah will be greatly missed. From holiday meals to that special piece of fabric, or reading to her grandchildren, she always put her family first. Her passion was sewing - she was a wonderful seamstress, outfitting her children, sisters, grandchildren, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lance Harbison. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, LaDon Nathon Hilliard; two daughters, Wendie K. Hilliard and Angela Marie Harbison (Jarred Lee Adams); her mother, Bette Lowe Evans; her father, George Dana; her siblings, Donna (Jay) Booth, Michael McKinney, Denise (Michael) Booker, Charlotte (Bo) Wilkinson, Lisa (John) Denney, and Michele (Kenny) Hart; four grandchildren, Chance A. Harbison, Katelynn M. Harbison, Olivia C. Adams, and Robert B. Adams; nieces, nephews, four brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made in Deborah’s memory to Wells Fargo Bank at University Boulevard, Deborah Hilliard Fund to fight the battle against driving under the influence or texting while driving.
