

Deborah Gordon Spann, 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Fairhope, Alabama. She was born to Robert Morris Gordon, Sr. and Mildred Ellis Gordon on October 28, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama. Deborah graduated from Theodore High School where she was proudly a varsity cheerleader. She worked for Mobile Pen Company in Accounts Payable for over ten years. Deborah was a huge Alabama football fan – she never missed a game – and also enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. She loved going to the beach with her family, to which they made a trip every summer. Deborah enjoyed dancing as well, but above all else she enjoy spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathy Gordon Davis.
She is survived by her two children, Melissa Gates (Billy Ray) and David Reed III; three grandchildren, Mia Gates, Dayton Reed, and Brayden Reed; brother, Bob Gordon, Jr. (Nancy); one sister, Connie Isler (Alan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Deborah will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway, with a graveside service in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.
