Deborah Ellis Turner, 61, was born August 1, 1959, in Mobile, Alabama to the late Malrie John Ellis, Sr. and Dorothy Yvonne Sharpe. She was called to her Heavenly home on July 7, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama. Deborah’s greatest accomplishments was the power to make change for the sake of her daughter and grandson. Selfless love is her biggest achievement. She was a homemaker that enjoyed shopping, and loved her ICE. Deborah was a kindhearted, sweet lady, with a giving soul that spoke her mind. She had an inhibited laugh and a contagious smile that would capture the hearts of those around her. Deborah always had a sharing and caring spirit. Her family will remember the meals around the table for she was the best cook. Deborah enjoyed watching; Family Feud, Sister Act, Momma’s Family, Grease, and Tyrese Gibson. She enjoyed traveling and got to visit places like; Florida, Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; brother; Malrie (Tinnie) John Ellis, Jr., sister; Kathie Darlene Baker, brother; Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Ellis, brother; Terrell (Terry) Lane Ellis, and sister; Pamela (Pam) Rena Rivers.

Left to cherish Deborah’s beautiful memories will be her daughter; Ashley Yvonne Ellis and husband Ramon Antonio Wilks, three grandchildren; Landen Asher Wilks, Tamon W. Wilks, Tamirra D. Wilks, two nieces: Alexus Hopper, Autumn Baker, one nephew; Julian Hopper, three great-grandson’s: Karson, Christian, Austin, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Honoring Deborah as pallbearers will be Ayden Cowart, Tamon Wilks, Frankie Ellis, James (Jace) Baker, and Julian Hopper. Honorary pallbearers will be Landen Asher Wilks and Terrell Harris.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards all of their family, friends and the ICU unit of Springhill Hospital for the care, compassion and prayers extended.

Celebration of Life services for Deborah Ellis Turner will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday July 16, 2021 in the Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama with Ramon Wilks officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Wilson Annex of Whistler Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.

The family will be receiving guests for visitation Friday, July 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama.
