Dennis J Schneider

Mr. Dennis J. Schneider, a native of Troy, Indiana and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for over 60 years passed away on January 11, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. He was 89 years old. He honorably served his country in WWII at the rank of S/Sgt. in the Army Air Corps. After returning home to Mobile, he began his career with the US Postal Service that lasted over 35 years. Dennis Schneider was a longtime member of Our Savior Catholic Church, a lifetime member of VFW and DAV and a member of NARFE. Mr. Schneider is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dora C. Schneider; son, David (Susan) Schneider of Duluth, GA; son, Don (Nancy) Schneider of Houston, TX; son, Daniel (Regina) Schneider of Mobile; daughter, Diana Schneider of Pensacola, FL; two grandsons, two granddaughters and four great grandchildren who will long cherish his memory. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Savior Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
