Donald was born on August 23, 1959, in Mobile, Alabama. He was a lifelong resident of the area and proudly served his community as a Mobile police officer. Through his service, he dedicated his life to protecting others and making a difference in the lives of those around him.
Donald was known for his strength, commitment, and the deep care he had for his family and community. He touched many lives through both his work and personal relationships and will be remembered for the impact he made on those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Kohn, and his brother, Dale Kohn.
Donald is survived by his children, Dawn Kohn, Donna Kohn, and David Alex Kohn. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Kohn; his sister, Barbara Darley (Jack); his brothers, Leland Kohn (Margie), Leslie Kohn (Angela), and Robin Kohn; along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A viewing will be held at Radney Funeral Home on April 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Wilmer Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will be officiated by his brother-in-law, Jack Darley.
Pallbearers will be Leland Kohn, Leslie Kohn, Robin Kohn, Jeremy Kohn, Greg Kohn, Kevin Holland, and David Alex Kohn.
