Doris Mary McBride McAleer

Doris McBride McAleer - died at her home on November 10, 2012. She was born June 15, 1923, in Mobile, AL. Doris graduated from Convent of Mercy. She was a devout Catholic and devoted wife, mother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. McAleer; her parents George Garner and Gladys McNamara McBride; sisters, Cecilia McBride Bailey and Mildred McBride Stephens.

She is survived by five children, Cecilia McAleer Sierke (Ted), Thomas J. McAleer, Jr. (Jackie Stark), Garner J. McAleer (Elenna Goodman), Rhett McAleer Rodrigue (Randal), and Arends McAleer Vogelsang (Jack); and two grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Vogelsang and Evan Jackson Vogelsang. She is also survived by four sisters, Helen McBride Nelson, Marilyn McBride Story, Jackie H. Mills and Mary Ann H. Morrison.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, from 10:30-11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 716 Dauphin Island Pkwy., Mobile, AL 36606 or the Visitation Monastery, 2300 Springhill Ave., Mobile, AL 36607.
