She is survived by her son, Rick (Linda) West; daughter, Lori (Phil) Schmidt; grandchildren, Erica, Ashley, and Trevor Schimdt; beloved brother, Harold (Marilyn) Lambert, who was so special to her; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Rick West, Lori Schmidt, and Harold Lambert would also like to thank current and former staff of Cogburn Health Center, 148 Tuscaloosa Street, Mobile, Alabama. Words cannot express their appreciation for the abundant love and care they showed to their mother. They were a blessing, not only to Doris, but also to them.

The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, from 3:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
