Dorothy Louise Clayton – A native of Mobile, Al born July 18, 1924, resident of Mobile and Daphne, Al gained her wings September 1, 2020 in a local hospital peacefully with her children at her side. It was a special day as it was her 75th wedding anniversary. She had a 40 year career in various positions with the United States Civil Service System. She started her career working at Brookley Field (Air Force) and ending with the U S Army Reserve. She was a parishioner of St Monica, Christ The King, and Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception. She was preceded in Death by her parents Michael J and Rose Hudson Targett, Husband Jeff R Clayton Sr, Three brothers and three sisters. Survived by her Sister-in-laws Leontine C Tomasetti (104+ years old) Raleigh, NC and Odessa H Clayton, Montgomery, Al. Children Cheryl C Gwin (John), Jeff R Clayton Jr (Sally), and Kim Clayton Collins. 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. A private celebration of life mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and graveside service at Pine Crest Cemetery on September 8, 2020. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, church audio and video fund, 400 Government St, Mobile, Al 36602.
