Dorothy Mae Embry

Dorothy Mae Embry, born October 18, 1927 and died on November 4, 2010. She was a homemaker and she belonged to several social clubs, including WIBC, AWBA the 600 Club, the VFW and Post 49 Aux for many years. She was a longtime member of a local mystic society. She is preceded in death by her loving husband William “Bill” Embry. She is survived by her four children, Betty (Jim) Carter, James (Susan) Embry, Sheila (Frank) Thomas of Lucedale, MS, and Dottie M. Smith. She has 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by longtime loving friend James “Jim” Williams. She had three sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews to survive her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL.
