Dorothy Rook Hurlbert, age 99, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Dorothy was born May 11, 1923 in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd Allen Nowell and Lallah Rook Woodall Nowell, and siblings, Doris Nowell, Willis Nowell, Wallace Nowell, Victor Nowell, Mozelle Stewart, and Dennis Nowell. Dorothy is survived by her children, James B. Finley, Jr. (Lora) and Barbara Ritter (Bret); grandchildren, Matthew Williams (Kim), Ethan Finley, and Morgan Finley; great-grandchildren, Rylan Williams and Brody Williams; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 12 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
