Dorothy Marie “Dottie” Burns Mills died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at her mother’s home in Fowl River. She was 50 years old. Dottie was a parishioner for most of her life at St. Michael Parish in Heron Bay and later attended St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Mobile. She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Jimmy Mills; her mother, Joyce Burns; father, Patrick (Carol) Burns; sister, Sheila (Eddie) Lyons; niece and nephews, Lila, Rush, and Gus Lyons; mother-in-law, Frankie Lodine Mills; sister-in-law, Regina (Brian) Pridgen and many other loving relatives.
Dottie will be greatly missed by her friends, including those she played bingo with, and especially the Monday Night Prayer Group, who continued praying the Rosary with her during her illness. The family greatly appreciates all the support from the community and those who kept her in their prayers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Parish Hall. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July, 18, 2019 in St. Michaels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Catholic Church Cemetery, Coden, AL.
