Dorothy Ann Wood Ramsey

Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chief Petty Officer Alfred Ramsey, Jr., U.S.C.G., Retired; her parents, Esther King Wood and Philip Wood; three brothers, George Wood, Arthur Wood and Robert Wood; and her sister, Lillian Wood (George) Bruntrager.

Survivors include her son, Alfred J. (Kathleen Avery) Ramsey of Kingwood, TX; her daughter, Noreen Ramsey (Christopher G., III) Hume of Mobile; five grandchildren, Kelley Ramsey (Daryl) Duke of Splendora, TX, Steven (Kristin) Ramsey of Austin, TX, Heather Hume of Bozeman, MT, Capt. Christopher G. Hume, IV of Fayetteville, NC, and Sarah B. Hume of Nashville, TN; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ramsey will be remembered for her extraordinary love of animals.
