Dottie Geane Mallon

Dottie was born August 6, 1940, to Salvador and Irma Mallon. She was born and raised on Dauphin Island. She retired from the Dauphin Island Sea Lab after giving over 10 years of service. She was an avid bingo player and loved walking the beach. She had a very funny sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. She helped care for numerous children on Dauphin Island. She set a tremendous example of love and strength of character and was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Dottie is survived by her sister; Shirley Kirkpatrick (Boyd), brother; Preston Mallon (Connie), and many other nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her deeply.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Salvador and Irma Mallon, brother; Hueston Mallon, sister; Eula Gibbs, and nephew; Guy Gibbs.

A visitation for Dottie will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 11-1pm at St. Edmond’s by the Sea Catholic Church on Dauphin Island. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1pm. Burial will take place at Dauphin Island Community Cemetery.
