He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Dixon and Minnie Lee Dixon; sister, JoAnn Jackson; and brothers, John Henry Dixon and Willie Lee Dixon.
Eddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved to fish until his health failed. Eddie was baptized and a faithful dedicated member of Azalea City Church of Christ. He was employed in his early years at Ingall's Shipyard and GAF Shingles.
His memories will remain with his devoted wife, Joyce Dixon; three children, Marlos Dixon (Wanda), Chandra Dixon, and Latarsha Davis (Jessie); five grandchildren, Saneda Pomier, Marlos Dixon, Jr., Devon Dixon, Devontae Dixon, Tavina Holt, and Mykeira Gibson; six great-grandchildren, London Curtis, Kayden Pomier, Dakota Dixon, Keontae Smith, Braxton Morrissette, and Caleb Gibson; seven siblings, Jerry Torrey, Dorothy Thomas (Ralph), Sharon Carter (Moses), Felicia Downs (Floyd), Jeff Davis, Ben Dixon (Anita), and Don Terell Dixon (Gayla); a devoted sister-in-law, Lula Temper (Robert); uncle, James Davis (Annie Louise); along with a host of nieces nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held from Azalea City Church of Christ on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
