Elizabeth "Betty" Clara Lee Smith

Elizabeth "Betty" Clara Lee Smith - age 96; a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama died Monday, December 16, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong member of Little Flower Catholic Parish and a member of the third graduating class of Little Flower Catholic School. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. V. Smith; three sons, Vernon Smith, Joe Smith, Greg Smith; one grandson, Patrick Dill; her parents, John and Ruth Lee; and her siblings, Bobby Lee, Dodie Smith, and Sharon Lee. She is survived by her children, Alex "Smitty" (Judy) Smith, Ellen (Joe) Dill, Larry (Diana) Smith, Tim (Pam) Smith, and Stephen (Christi) Smith; two daughters-in-law, Elaine Smith and Mary Anne Smith; twenty-one grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. on Friday, December 20, 2019 with the Rosary at 12:45 P.M. at Little Flower Catholic Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Friday at Little Flower Catholic Parish with Reverend John G. Lynes as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Dill, Bradley Smith, Rodger Andrews, Eric Smith, Matthew Smith, Justin Smith, and J.C. Smith. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Smith, Christopher Dill, Daniel Smith, Rusty Smith, Adam Smith, Jacob Smith, and Corey Smith. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
