Elizabeth Ann Kotis

Elizabeth Ann Kotis, 88, died in her home on March 6, 2025. Ann was born in Mobile on November 26, 1936. She finished high school at Toolen High in 1954. In 1956 she married her longtime neighbor and sweetheart George Leon Kotis. Two years later they welcomed their baby boy, Gregory Leon Kotis. They moved to California and resided there for 18 years before moving back to Mobile. Ann worked as an administrative secretary for the city of Mobile for many years before retiring. Ann and Leon enjoyed traveling and socializing with family and friends. She was a member of the Skyline Garden club, St. Dominic Alter Society, and Fifty PlusClub in Bellefontaine. After the deaths of her son and her husband, Ann was more of a homebody. She enjoyed watching TV and talking on the phone.

Her son, Greg Kotis, died January 14, 2018. Her husband, Leon Kotis, died January 20, 2019. Ann was predeceased by her parents,Mary Edwina Wahl Ewest and Anthony Robertus Ewest. Ann is also predeceased by all of her siblings Mary Johnson, Judy Esfellar, Anthony Ewest, Grace Britt, Janice Fields, Joyce Grimes and Joseph Ewest. Ann is survived by her daughter in law, Tavi Kotis, and special niece, Cathy Blache. She is also survived by brother in law, Johnie Fields, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605. A committal service will occur Friday, March 14, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home & Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605.
