Elizabeth Courtney Ogden, a native of Mobile, Alabama, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Emmett Courtney and Edna Manning Courtney and by her brother, Joseph Manning Courtney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Keene Gwynn Hammond and their son, Keene Gwynn Hammond, Jr., her husband James Nicholson Ogden, Jr., and their daughter, Christiana Ogden Coyle. She is survived by her sister, Amelie Courtney (Dr. John Arnold) Pitman. Her surviving children are Janbeza Ogden Reynolds, Beatrice Ogden Sheldon, James Nicholson Ogden, III, Donald Gillespie Ogden, and Tabitha Ogden Stillwell. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2012 from St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until 10 A.M. on Monday at the Church. Interment will be in Old Spring Hill Cemetery.
