

Elizabeth Adams Wright - born January 16, 1913 in Oakdale, LA, died October 14, 2012 in Mobile, AL. Mrs. Wright was a founding member of St. Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church in Coden, AL. She was Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, Past Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star and was in the first freshman class of Murphy High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Paul Wright; brother, Spencer Adams; sisters, Dorothy Frye Knutson, Sumner Hunt, and Margarete Johnson Huey; daughter-in-law, Teresa Wright; and her parents, Carrie Lee and Spencer Monroe Adams.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lee and Christopher Collier, Sr.; her son, Junius Paul "Skipper" Wright, Jr.; her granddaughters, Ashley (Mike) Torromeo, Kelly (Woody) Seaman and Elizabeth Marie Wright; her grandsons, Christopher Collier, Jr., Victor Grant, and Kelly Grant; her great-grandchildren, David and Reagan Seaman, Danielle and Dakota Perry, Chaze and Abigail Collier; her brother, Charles Edwards Adams; sister-in-law, Bettie Jean Sterling; her friend and caretaker, Ida Mae Chastang; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews: Spencer and BJ Adams, Bettie Crenshaw, Sumner and Frank Graham, Ann and Joe White, Jean and Charles Hinton, Tommy and Ann Johnson, Edward and Gloria Johnson, Jimmy and Paula Johnson, Judy and Lee Rikart, Monroe Frye, Eddie and Ann Adams, Donnie Adams, Patsy Adams, Rusty and Nancy Beckham, Margaret Ann and Larry Wilson, Tiffany and Wayne Rodgers, Carla and Larry Hunt, George and Cindy Tarleton, Marie and Richard Thiele, Billy Young and Jimmy Young. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Collier, Jr., Woody Seaman, Mike Torromeo, Blake Place, Jr., Bruce Radcliff, and Alvin Stacey. Services will be officiated by Father John Hicks.
Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church, Coden, AL on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2 P.M. Mrs. Wright will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Bayou La Batre, AL.
