Emily Friedlander Fink

Emily, the eldest and sweetest child of the late Joe B. & Harriett Kamil Friedlander, passed peacefully on September 28, 2026. In addition to her parents, she was also pre-deceased by her sister, Janis Ruth Friedlander of Mobile, fathers-in-law Joseph Fink and Max Aratchofsky and mother-in-law Ann Aratchofsky, of New Orleans. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Harold, a retired U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and her brother, Donald A. Friedlander and wife Pam. She deeply loved her 2 sons, Jeffrey and wife Meryl Fink of Boston, and Dr. Randy and wife Stephanie Fink of Pensacola. She prized her 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Hannah, Max, JB and Ruby, and host of nieces and nephews in Mobile.

Emily loved painting and music, and her angelic singing voice will be missed by all.

Emily was a graduate of Barton Academy and Murphy High School. She attended LSU before traveling with Harold around the country on his military and government duties. She loved every minute of her travels and made treasured friends like Judy & David Hechinger of Annapolis, MD, and ultimately returned home to Mobile in 2000.

She will be a blessed memory with every sunrise and sunset on the Gulf Coast.

Funeral services will be held graveside at 10:00 am Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Springhill Avenue Temple Cemetery.
