Esther Grayson Bodiford

Mrs. Esther Grayson Bodiford passed away peacefully on Monday May 19,2025 at The Retreat Hospice in Mobile AL. She was born Feb 12, 1937 in Cynthiana KY. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Rev Earl Bodiford; her parents Leslie and Lettie Grayson; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jimmy) Shumock, David Bodiford, Mike Bodiford, Beverly (Jimmy) Imholte; three granddaughters, Amanda (Matt) King, Caitlyn Bodiford and Sydney Bodiford; one grandson, Blake Imholte; one sister, Odella Hansen; one brother Larry (Gwen) Grayson; 3 great-granddaughters, 2 great-great grands, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She spent the better part of her life as a wife and a mom, choosing to care for her children and assist her husband in his ministry. She lived a very full life and has now gone to join her loved ones in heaven. Her race is over. She was a good and faithful servant.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association or The Retreat Saads Hospice, 1515-B South University Blvd, Mobile AL 36609.
