Eudene Frances Duncan

Eudene Patrick Duncan - 94, a native of Jackson, MS and for the past 12 years a resident of Mobile, AL died on Monday, May 6, 2013. She worked as a dental assistant and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of MS. She was a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church in Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Launa Patrick of Puckett, MS; two sisters, Ollie Lewis and Vanita Leach of Puckett, MS; and two brothers, Troyce Patrick of Puckett and Hoy Patrick of Mendenhall, MS.

She was the beloved mother of Donna and Jerry Simmons of Mobile, AL, grandmother of Tim and Shannon [Simmons] Locklear of Atlanta, GA and Shaun and Grace Simmons of Frederick, MD, and great-grandmother of Thomas and Ann Simmons.

The family would like to express their appreciation and sincere thanks for her caregivers, Shimeka Leggett and Debbie McCullough, and the nursing staff at Cogburn Health and Rehabilitation West.

Graveside services will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the service hour. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
