Eunice Gollotte Welborn

Eunice Gollotte Welborn, a native of Irvington, Alabama and resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 14, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Houston Gollotte, Sr. and Ruth Davis Gollotte,, her husband, Benjamin Fridge Welborn, Sr.; siblings, Joe Houston Gollotte, Jr., Herman Franklin Gollotte and Loretta Gollotte Clevenger. Mrs. Welborn retired from the Mobile County Engineering Department as an Administrative Assistant. She was a former longtime member of Cottage Hill Presbyterian Church where is she sang in the choir and was very active in ladies organizations and secretary for the Meals on Wheels program. In recent years she was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Before suffering a stroke twelve years ago her favorite hobbies were her gardening and being a “Pink Lady” at Providence Hospital assisting in the Medical Services Department with her daughter Karen. She is survived by her children, Benjamin Fridge Welborn, Jr. “Benny” and Karen Ragina Welborn “Karen”. She also leaves to cherish her memory, three grandchildren, Benjamin Kyle, Dustin Lawrence and Devinn Hayley Welborn She also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Al. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
