Faye Atchison Roan

Faye Atchison Roan, a lifelong resident of Mobile County, departed this life on Friday, May 10th at her home with family by her side. She was a lifetime member of Woodmont Baptist Church and then Dauphin Way Baptist. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Roan, and her parents, Minnie Grandquest Atchison and Aldriege O'Grady Atchison. She is survived by her children, Linda (Vaughan) Drinkard, Cheryl Roan and Yolanda (Randy) Peake. Faye is also survived by six grandchildren, Tara Drinkard (Matt) Barber, Candice (Paul) Lewis, Bethany (Zac) Gipson, Ramsay Price-Williams, Atchison Peake and Olivia Peake, six loving great-grandchildren, and three siblings, Yvonne Atchison Hubbard of Chatom, James Earl "Jim" Atchison and Alfred Allen Atchison of Folsom, Louisiana.

The family would like to thank her invaluable caregivers, Debbie McCullough, Darlene Rouse, Tonya Stinson, and Sharon Tate, as well as her precious friend, Susan Boney. Visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, May 14th at 11 a.m. with a celebration of her life following at noon in the Chapel. Interment will take place at Zion Rest Baptist Church in Buckatunna, Mississippi on Wednesday, May 15th at 11 a.m. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
