Frances Ann grew up in an area most well known as Whistler, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School and attended the University of Alabama. After the end of World War II she married her handsome marine, James T. (Jake) Miles, at the Whistler Methodist Church. The union would last over 50 years and produce three children who always, always knew they were loved. Frances Ann was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Frances Ann and Jake lived most of their lives in the Mobile area, but also lived in Spanish Fort, Alabama and Orange Beach, Alabama.
Frances Ann is survived by her sister, Joy Smith, her children; Stephen J. Miles (Toni), Debra Miles Richards (David), W. Wayne Miles (Mandy); 10 Grandchildren; Rachael Carter (Garrett), Rebecca Brining (Zach), Amanda Sgarlata (John), Jason Miles, Joel Richards (Emily), Jesse Miles ( Michelle),Emily Boutwell (Derick), Rosalind Dorsett (Chris), Martha Partin (Jeff), Josh Richards (Sarah). She also has 17 Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Pine Crest Cemetery and Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Pkwy. in Mobile. Visitation is scheduled for 2 P.M .on Sunday May 21, 2017 followed by a chapel service at 3 P.M.
