

Born on July 11, 1939, in Atmore, AL, Frances was the daughter of Idell English Godwin and Bill Godwin.
Frances Bloodsworth grew up in Atmore and Mobile, Alabama.
Having married in 1958, Frances was married over 68 years. She worked briefly outside of the home at various places, but she was largely a homemaker and took care of her children and grandchildren. She had a great fondness for all children; they were drawn to her sweetness as well.
Frances is survived by her husband, Devon Bloodsworth; daughter, Lorie Hardeman, granddaughter, Christie Sasser, grandson, Christopher Sasser; grandson Devon Bloodsworth; granddaughter, Savannah Hardeman, grandson Robert Winston Hardeman II, and granddaughter, Erica Bloodsworth; great-grandsons Bastian Auryn Carroll, Walker Hardeman, Robert Winston Hardeman III, and Harbor Lane Dabney and great-granddaughters Zaniyah Williams, Liliana Paige Hardeman and Stella Anne Dabney and sister Rebecca Delores Nicholson.
She is predeceased by her son, William Devon Bloodsworth and her sister Lottie Louise Clark.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, at Forest Park Bible Church, 1912 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605. Visitation starts at 10:00 am, and the memorial service is at 11:00 am. Frances will be interred at Pine Crest Funeral Home.
