Frances W. Dixon was born on November 7, 1943 in Sullivan, Indiana and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 20, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, James F. Walters and Lura M. Beard Walters, as well as her daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Dixon. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne P. Dixon Sr., her sons, Wayne P. Dixon, Jr., Brian K. Dixon (Gretchen) and grandson James R. Dixon. She is also survived by her sisters Georgia W. Baker, Sue W. Smith and many other relatives and friends. Frances was a very humble, quiet and loving person. She touched the lives of many throughout the years. Frances spent many hours and days as a volunteer baby cuddler at the USA Children's and Women's Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Frances had a special love for all children and truly cherished each and every baby she cuddled. Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to USA Children's and Women's Hospital, 1700 Center St., Mobile, AL 36604.
