Frances Irma Levy Hyman died at her home on July 18, 2015. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 26, 1922, where she lived with her parents Clara Emilie (Callie) Dinkelspiel Levy and Jake Levy, until she married her true love, Jack Hyman, on August 16, 1945, and moved to Mobile, Alabama in 1948. Frances was a funny and vibrant woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured her many years of traveling with Jack to France and beyond, being the “life of the party”, and of course never was without a piece of chocolate. She was an active member in the Sisterhood of the Temple, an early volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program, served as President of the Lady’s Golf Association at the Country Club of Mobile, and loved playing bridge later in life with her bridge group. Frances is survived by her four children; Phil (Mary) Hyman, Bob (Diane) Hyman, Cathy (Matt) Mosteller, and Ellen (Russ) Cunningham, her seven grandchildren; Julie (Taylor) Wilkins Jake (Sherry) Hyman, Michael Mosteller, Clifton (Leighton) Mosteller, Frances (Kelly) Sadler, Jack (Caroline) Cunningham and Callie Cunningham, and her five great-grandchildren; Tate Wilkins, Carlisle Mosteller, Chance Mosteller, Matthew Sadler and Frances Cunningham. The family wishes to especially thank with heartfelt gratitude our exceptional and compassionate caregivers; Annie, Erica and Teresa and very special family friends, Bertha Terrell and George Marshall. A graveside service was held Tuesday, July 21st at the Springhill Avenue Temple Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wilmer Hall or the Ronald McDonald House.
