Mrs. Frances Naomi Lancaster, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died at Montrose Bay Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Frances W. Hickey, husbands, Hilary E. Layfield and Dwight D. Lancaster and brothers, Thomas J. Hickey and Timothy Allen Hickey. She is survived by her children, Michael A. Layfield, Timothy E. Layfield of Mobile, AL, Carole F. Evans (Stewart) and Josephine A. Hackett (William) of Birmingham, AL and Julia E. Abelman (Steve) of Detroit, MI. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Marion H. Freels of Knoxville, TN and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday morning. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
