Frances Wright Lyda, age 77 of Silverhills, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Chloe Wright and beloved son Jerrod Hardy.

Mrs. Lyda was employed for over 30 years in interior design and sales with Sears. She studied Fashion Merchandising at Tampa College and Paralegal studies at the University of South Alabama.

She was an avid gardener, loved shopping, travelling with her husband and family and spending time at the beach. She also loved spending time with her constant companion beloved Australian Shepherd, Wilson.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband Steve Lyda and children, Britney Sanders (Dr. Don Sanders), Bill Hardy (Lori Hardy) and Jackie Higdon. Her adored grandchildren, Hardy Miller, Hayes Miller, Hollis Miller, Ashton Hardy and Everly Higdon also survive her.

The family has requested that any information regarding funeral services be directed to them exclusively.
