Frances Nicholson Moss

Frances Nicholson Moss, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013. A native of Birmingham, she was a longtime resident of Mobile. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Rex Danforth Moss, and was a devoted and faithful wife and mother. She accepted Christ at age 17 at the First Baptist Church of Birmingham, AL.

Mrs. Moss is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Bobby) Norton and Ellen (Louis) Wood. Four granddaughters, Louise Sparks (Michael) Ritter, Lauren Sparks (James) Osborne, Claire Wood and Katie Wood, and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Moss was a longtime member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. She was active in the Jackson Heights Garden Club and a founding member of the Jackson Heights Bridge Club. She was a longtime Dental Hygentist and retired from The Railroad Retirement Board. The family would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to our mother's care giver, Marie Hunter and her loving and caring staff.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 439 Azalea Rd., Mobile, AL, 36609. Family graveside services will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL at a later date.
