Frances Inez Pizzulo, 72, of Mobile, AL, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Frances fought a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on October 6th, 1952 in Miami, FL to parents Francis and Vivian Pizzulo. She graduated from Southwest Miami High School in 1971 and went on to work first as a Paramedic, then State Trooper, and lastly a Registered Nurse for 30 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Frances had a loving smile and personality that brightened every room and left a positive impression on everyone she met. Her legacy of love and kindness leaves an enduring impression on all who knew her.
She was a talented seamstress and one her joys was creating beautiful quilts for her family. We lost track of how many dresses and Halloween costumes she made for the grandchildren. Another of her talents was bringing antique furniture back to life.
In 1995, she took on a “project car” and rebuilt a 1961 MG from the ground up. The completed vehicle was absolutely showroom quality.
She is survived by her son, Richard Pizzulo, her daughter in law Michelle Pizzulo, her grandchildren Payton and Taylor Pizzulo, and her siblings Victoria Ferrelli, Patrick Pizzulo,Claudia Pizzulo and Robin Whitson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Christopher Pizzulo.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care during Frances’ illness. A celebration of her life will be held on February 1st at 6:00pm at her home. Please join us in celebrating her life and legacy. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
