Francis "Frank" Jesse Churchville
May 18, 1938 – November 24, 2020
Frank Churchville, a long-serving law enforcement officer in Mobile, AL passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020.
Frank Churchville was a 16 year Veteran of the U.S. Navy. As a combat medical corpsman, Frank served multiple combat tours of Vietnam with US Navy Special Forces. Frank also served aboard “Marine One” Presidential Helicopter Detail in Quantaco, VA for U.S. Presidents Dwight D.Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy.
Upon leaving the Navy, Frank eventually settled in Mobile, AL where he served as a Deputy and The training officer for the Mobile County Sheriffs Department. Upon retiring from the Mobile County Sheriffs Department, Frank served with the United States Marshals Service and later served as a Constable for Mobile County, Alabama. With longtime friend and business partner James Harless, Frank helped form the Port City Retail Security Corporation specializing in Corporate Security, Executive Protection, and Fugitive Recovery. Upon retirement from Law Enforcement, Frank enjoyed big game hunting, fishing and travel.
Frank Churchville is survived by his brother Patrick Churchville of Merritt Island, FL; sons William Churchville of Los Angeles, CA and Thomas Churchville of Las Vegas, NV; and daughters Belinda Johnson of Nampa, Idaho and Desiree Churchville as well as numerous grandchildren.
Frank dedicated his life to the service of his country and the service of his community. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in The Rue Dauphin Room of Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Alabama
