Mr. Francis Clyde Sealy – a native of Uniontown, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL for the past 24 years, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Sealy was a U. S. Marine Corp. veteran of World War II having joined the Marines at age 15. He served in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatres and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Veterans of Under Age Military Service. Mr. Sealy served as a police officer for the City of Prichard for 10 years and retired from UOP Chemical Company after 24 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Judson Sealy and Myrtle McCoy Sealy; and one brother, Albert Judson Sealy. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Sealy; two children, Terry Sealy (Bruce) Reeb and Frank (Aaron) Sealy; one sister, Etura Sealy Bonneau; seven grandchildren, Heather LaPenta, Tiffany Sealy Kemp, Trevor Sealy, Ryan Reeb, Winston Sealy, Adam Reeb, and Lexie Sealy; six great-grandchildren; and close friends of the family of Timoteo Quezada, Earl Lee, Reverend David Boykin, and Tommy Turnage; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2011 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
