Franklin Joseph Kelly

Franklin Joseph Kelly - an 83 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away in Attalla, AL on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was a graduate of Baker High School and retired from Scott Paper Company after more than 40 years of service as a carpenter. Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Joseph and Bessie Lane Kelly, and beloved wife of more than 50 years, Elsie Byrd Kelly. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Phillips (Jim); grandchildren, Lisa Brown (Jeff), Joey Spafford (Kelly), Vicki Kirk (Stephen), and Jamie Ann Phillips; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Elizabeth, and William Brown, Sellers Kirk, and Callan Spafford; brothers, Melvin Kelly and Ivan Kelly (Linda); sister, Phyllis Nolfe (Sam); foster son, Chris Chavez (Loran); special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Mobile on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
