Freda Kamil Hoffman Sheridan

Freda Kamil Hoffman Sheridan – 92, lifelong resident of Mobile, died Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was a member of Congregation Ahavas Chesed where she sang in the joint congregational choir. She was a life member of Hadassah and past-president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the National Homebuilders Association. A beautiful, vibrant, and energetic woman, Freda touched many lives and will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude by all she helped along the way. She savored life and approached it as a grand adventure while creating a safe and nurturing environment in which her children could grow and thrive. She railed against the infirmities of life that diminished her independence and mobility, yet still maintained contact with friends and family of all ages and walks of life from Florida to California and Chicago to New Orleans. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Morris L. Sheridan, Freda is survived by her son, Ron Hoffman; daughters, Sandybeck H. Lease and Lynne S. Davis; step-sons, Danny and Steve Sheridan; grandchildren, Richard, Eric, and Lewis Lease, Michael and Denny Hoffman, Flori Muller, Joel Davis, and Mark and Ross Sheridan; and great-grandchildren, Miriam and Lucas Muller, and Madeline and Kamille Davis. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Ahavas Chesed Cemetery with Rabbi Steven Silberman officiating.
