Gary Elton Reneau, 68, passed away on April 28, 2026. Born on October 3, 1957, Gary lived a life defined by hard work, family, and the simple pride he found in building things with his hands.
He loved working with his hands, whether he was building a home or working on a car. But the greatest thing he ever built was a loving family, one that will miss him dearly.
Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia Reneau; his sons, Jimmy Humphrey, Daniel Humphrey, and Vernon Seaman Jr.; his brothers, William Reneau, Tony Reneau, and James Reneau; his grandchildren, Kazzalin Mooneyham, Kameryon Fowler, Maria Mooneyham, Christian Mooneyham, Henley Humphrey, Maverick Humphrey, and Walker Humphrey; and his great-grandchild, Josephine Reneau Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Leon Mooneyham; his siblings, Clyde Reneau, Harold Reneau, and Dorothy Mae.
Gary will be remembered for his strong hands, kind heart, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind in his family and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Wilmer Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 12:00 p.m until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with burial following immediately in Wilmer Cemetery.
