

Genevieve Morvan Rich, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was 92 years old.
Born in Pleneuf, France, on January 8, 1933, to Armand and Yvonne Morvan, Genevieve’s early years were spent in the countryside of France before she immigrated to the United States. In 1957, she married the love of her life, William Herbert Rich, and together they shared 68 years of unwavering love, partnership, and devotion. Genevieve’s life was one of grace, strength, and profound love for her family. She was preceded in death by her entire French family and her beloved son, Patrick Lee Rich & wife Daena. She leaves behind her devoted husband, William Herbert Rich, her sons Serge William Armond and Dennis Errol (Beverly), and her adoring grandchildren: Chad Rich (Nicole), Ashley Gallusi, Lauren Granger (Brett), and Bonnie Rich. Genevieve’s seven great-grandchildren, Blaze and Brayleigh Rich, Waylon, Lyla, Jase, Caroline, and Taylor Granger, were the joy and light of her life. She is also survived by many close family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Genevieve’s legacy will be one of enduring love, kindness, and generosity. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warm heart, infectious smile, and quiet wisdom. Her family was everything to her, and she devoted herself to them with boundless affection and care. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Radney’s Funeral Home on Dauphin Street from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church located at, 1400 Joy Road Mobile, AL on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 8:30 AM, followed by a graveside service at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at, 34904 AL-225 Spanish Fort, AL Promptly at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Pattrick Lee Rich, or to a charity of your choice.
Genevieve’s family expresses their deepest gratitude for all the love and support during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her warmth, compassion, and enduring love. Rest in peace, Genevieve. You were a light in this world, and your love will continue to guide us.
