I remember Mr. Bubba as a fine man. Just heard about his death last year. "Bo" Johnston was my uncle.

Johnnie, Was sorry to hear of your brother's death. It seems, however, that he lived a full and productive life and, I feel that he was probably a good mentor and brother to you. Remembering what as good soul you are, I bet that he enjoyed that role.

It seems that life is narrowing down for us and that too quickly some of the persons and things once precious are fading away. Often, that just makes them more precious and the loss more regrettable. God's peace to you, Ann and your family my old friend. Gene Griffin (and Janet)

Miss Alice,

I was sad to learn of Bubba's death on returning to Mobile this week. You and your family have my sincere sympathy. He was a fine man by every definition and one who I always enjoyed visiting. We had some great conversations over the last few years. It would have been difficult not to appreciate his wisdom and vision. He will be sorely missed.

With Great Regret,
