George Thomas "Tommy" Taylor

George Thomas “Tommy” Taylor – an 81 year-old native of Quitman, MS and resident of Semmes, AL passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Mr. Taylor retired from Alabama Power after more than 30 years of service and was employed with Palmer’s Toyota for the past 21 years. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, George Cleveland Taylor and Hilda Mae Taylor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elaine Taylor; children, Elizabeth “Beth” Drude (Charles), George Timothy Taylor (Arellia), Chris Boyes, Robin Hill (Joe), and Tiffany Taylor Moore; siblings, Shirley Hall, James Taylor (Jackie), Jewel Andrews, and Bonnie Guiness (Vic); nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Charles Couey officiating and Keith Palmer giving the eulogy.The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
