Geraldine "Gerre" Slepian Koffler - an 85 year-old native of Kansas City, MO, former resident of Miami, FL, and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Slepian. Mrs. Koffler is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dr. Irving A. Koffler; son, Dr. Warren "Randy" Koffler (Kaye); daughters, Susan Ruth Koffler and Joanne Russell (Mike); grandchildren, Alyssa Russell, Lauren Denton (Matt), and Jake Koffler (Leigh); great-grandchildren, Kate Denton and Sela Denton; family friend and caretaker, Wanda Hackworth; other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment will be held in Spring Hill Avenue Temple Cemetery on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Hill Avenue Temple, 1769 Spring Hill Ave., Mobile, AL 36607.
