Mrs. Gloria Smith Stevens, age 80, resident of Eight Mile, Alabama, passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 18, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Otis M. "Buddy" Stevens, parents, Acie P. and Juliette Blackmon Smith, son, Glenn "Rusty" Stevens, brother, Kenny Bolton, sister, Frances Dew, her numerous sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law and other family members.
Mrs. Stevens worked as a beautician for many years in the Mobile community. She was a faithful member of Whistler United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children; Daniel M. Stevens (Patricia), Juliette Watson and Susie Dowd (Lucky). She is also survived by her brother Bobby D. Smith, sister, Sandra Seagreaves (Steve), grandchildren; Ashley, Amber, T.J., Robert, Kelsie, Christopher and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whistler United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Wolfridge Cemetery.
